The Sports Medicine Research Laboratory is housed in the Department of Exercise Science, Sport, Physical Education and Recreation at Old Dominion University and opened its doors in January 2004.

The Sports Medicine Research Laboratory's three main research areas of focus include biomechanics, orthopaedic evaluation and rehabilitation, and motor behavior.
