To Conduct Research at the Child Development Center/Child Study Center
Step 1: Submit a research request: Child Development Center/Child Study Center Research Request Proposal
Step 2: Requests are screened by the Child Development Center/Child Study Center in terms of factors such as:
- IRB Approval
- Feasibility of proposed methods
- Safety /well-being of child participants
- Project timeline
- Level of required family involvement
- Impact of the research on classroom schedules and Child Development Center/Child Study Center space
Step 3: After receiving project approval at the Child Development Center/Child Study Center, you must:
· Complete a Virginia State Police background check. You will be required to pay for the background investigations. The cost is $20.00.
· Schedule classroom time with the classroom teacher
· Be available to respond to questions and concerns raised by parents and teachers
Research Request
- Specific procedures have been created to assist you in implementing any research at the Child Development Center/Child Study Center (i.e., scheduling, coordinating needed space and materials, etc.).
- The Child Development Center/Child Study Center Director will work with you on these procedures
- To apply to conduct research at the Child Development Center/Child Study Center, please submit the form below.
