The Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling provides scholarly instruction for students interested in working in educational leadership fields and the helping professions. The following academic programs that accomplish this mission are housed in our department:
- Community College Leadership (Ph.D.);
- Counseling (M.S.Ed., Ed. S., Ph.D.);
- Educational Leadership (M.S.Ed., Ed.S., Ph.D.);
- Higher Education (M.S.Ed., Ed.S., Ph.D.);and
- Human Services (B.S.).
The department has 30 full-time faculty, two staff members, and numerous adjunct faculty. All
faculty hold terminal degrees in their discipline. Faculties are nationally and internationally known scholars in their discipline and most have substantial experience in their respective fields. Our faculties take great pride in the department's comprehensive, rigorous, and student - centered programs of study. Student learning typically involves self-reflective and critical thinking activity. The department's strength and the excellence of our programs result from collaborative faculty with national and international reputations who care about students.
